Description
Thomas Friedrich completed his apprenticeship at the violin-making school in Mittenwald in 2007. He gained some experience in the construction of new guitars and repair work before receiving his master’s title as a plucked instrument maker in 2014. In addition to the handcraft’s technical challenges, Thomas has always been fascinated by design and form possibilities. For him, the sound and acoustic properties of the guitars are directly connected to the choice of wood and the guitar maker’s imagination and experience.
This new guitar from 2022 has a cedar soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides. It has clean craftsmanship, a very powerful warm cedar-ish voice, and fantastic playability. It is a concert guitar made for playing and satisfying the guitarists’ needs. This fine instrument is equipped with Scheller first quality tuners and is entirely french polished. The excellent separation of the voices and the mellow, rich treble merit special mention. The basses sound warm and give the instrument a beautiful carrying depth.
