Description
The „Concert“ model made by Thomas Ochs is the luthier’s interpretation of the modern classical guitar as it resulted from the Spanish tradition of guitar-making. Influenced by the instruments of José Romanillos, Daniel Friederich, and Richard Jakob “Weissgerber”, Thomas Ochs’ guitars convince with their unique sound aesthetics and perfect playability.
The spruce top has a traditional symmetrical seven-fan bracing and both top and back are slightly arched. A gorgeous Madagascar rosewood set with a deep dark colour and lovely figured grain was chosen for this guitar. The ornaments are classy elegant, with a rosette of solid wood inlays that are distinctive of Thomas Ochs guitars.
This guitar built in 2009 is in excellent condition, crack-free, with almost no playing marks. It was really well cared for and regularly played. Its sound is direct and powerful, very responsive and easy to produce. The waxed neck is appreciated by many players since it gives a great woody feeling to the left hand. Moreover, the fingerboard has a slight radius, and is elevated for better access to the higher ranges. Overall a fantastic instrument in great condition.
