Description
Vincent Humml is a German luthier from the new generation. Having started his apprenticeship as a plucked instrument maker nine years ago, he studied guitar making in Markneukirchen and refined his skills during various internships and workshops. He established his workshop in Chemnitz, Germany, after receiving the very demanding “Meister” title in luthiery in 2019.
Vincent’s guitars have a modern construction and pure aesthetics. He successfully uses the double-top technique to build traditional-sounding guitars with immense power yet a rich and elegant sound. Richness and elegance are also evident in the look of his instrument. His design is pure and refined, always precisely built and tasteful. Vincent belongs to the few elite luthiers of the new generation that do not compromise with quality, as witnesses the Scheller tuners, immaculate French polish, and 1a wood qualities.
This guitar numbered 42 comes straight from Vincent’s workshop and is a delight to play. With its 64 cm scale, elevated fingerboard, and highly responsive cedar/cedar double-top, this guitar’s playability is outstanding for both the left and right hands. A charming detail is the three-tone motifs of the marquetry, showing a dark green figured veneer, highlighted by white and black purflings. This guitar will please anyone looking for an instrument of remarkable sound quality, most effortless playability, and an actual work of art.
