Description
Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been building guitars since the age of fourteen. He was born in 1951 in Dortmund, Germany, the son of a guitar maker, where he grew up with guitars at an early age. Over the years he developed a great passion and expertise for this instrument. Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been living and working in China for several years, where he builds handmade guitars of astonishing quality in a small manufactory.
The Bavaria line by Wolfgang Jellinghaus is a successful commemoration of the enthusiasm for the Spanish guitar that took place in Bavaria, Germany, at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a tribute to the legendary guitar maker Hermann Hauser I© (1882-1952) and is inspired by his work and legacy.
The Bavaria A model is the budget version of the 1A, built with Indian rosewood back and sides and completely french polished with shellac. The spruce top is traditionally braced and shows a natural light shade. Rich tone colors, perfect voice separation and a crystal clear singing tone make this guitar an instrument with great value for money.
