Description
Yvo Haven is a Dutch talented luthier located in Amsterdam. Formerly a computer engineer, he now devotes himself making classical and flamenco guitars. He trained with the renowned luthier Pablo Requena. The education was a success, and his guitars are of very high quality. The French Polish is excellent and the craftsmanship impeccable.
The combination of a tight grain spruce top with a very light lattice bracing offers fantastic volume and outstanding projection. The playability is splendid for both the left and right hand. This instrument leaves the guitarist great freedom allowing to approach all the repertoires. Moreover, the sound is quite expressive, and the general aesthetics absolutely charming.
This particular guitar has an energetic bass response that the player immediately feels in the chest when playing. That makes for a dynamic and responsive instrument that is highly inspiring to play on. As usual with Yvo Havens guitars, the craftsmanship is excellent with a well thought out design. The guitar is also easy to play with a comfortable neck. Clear and somewhat bright projecting trebles paired with airy and smooth basses creates a guitar suited for all kind of concert situations.
