Philipp Neuman – Gitarrenbauer
Jede einzelne meiner Gitarren ist das Produkt eines langen, intensiven Prozesses. Ich setze all mein Wissen und meine Erfahrung ein, um qualitativ hochwertige Instrumente zu fertigen. Deshalb baue ich auch nie mehr als zwei Gitarren gleichzeitig, um mich auf jedes Detail konzentrieren zu können. Da der Klang des Instruments stark vom Material abhängt, verwende ich nur Tonhölzer bester Qualität und keinerlei vorgefertigte Teile.
Eine Gitarre ist erst dann fertig, wenn sie meinen Ansprüchen an einen klaren, offenen Klang mit vollen, runden Bässen, samtigen Faces, klaren, brillanten Höhen, moduliertem Timbre, einem singenden, getragenen Ton und Ansprache voll und ganz gerecht wird. Erst wenn ich davon überzeugt bin, dass alle diese Kriterien erfüllt sind, wird die Holzarbeit beendet und der Korpus geschlossen und mit Schellack poliert. Das Ergebnis sind wohlklingende, einzigartige Stücke und professionelle Instrumente für Gitarristen. Meine Arbeit basiert auf der spanischen Granada-Tradition des Gitarrenbaus mit bewährten Techniken. In die Methoden fließen eine Analyse historischer Gitarren und moderne Erkenntnisse über akustische Prozesse und die Wünsche heutiger Musiker ein.
Obwohl ich sehr traditionell bin, bin ich auch offen für Experimente. Ich versuche, traditionelle Instrumentenbaukunst mit modernen Methoden zu verbinden, um den Klang der Gitarre für die Zukunft zu entwickeln.
