Bernard Martin was born in Stuttgart in 1954. He moved to Granada in 1976 to learn the art of guitar making in the master workshops of José Lopez Bellido and Antonio Durán, and under the guidance of Eduardo Ferrer. Bernd Martin was the first German to settle in Granada and has been known for the quality of his instruments ever since. He also won the first prize at the prestigious "Concurso Nacional de Lutheria" (National Guitar Competition) organized by J. L. Romanillos in 1999.
This fabulous guitar, both fine and elegant, was built in 1996. It is hand-signed by Bernd Martin on the inside of the top. The guitar is built with a traditional 7-fan bracing and is in very good condition considering its age. The top has acquired a beautiful color over the years. The back and sides are in good condition with only superficial signs of use. The top has only one repaired hairline crack to the right of the fingerboard
