Description
Carl Hermann Schäfer started making guitars in 1966. He did his apprenticeship under the guidance of master guitar maker Ernest Köröskeny and later studied under master guitar maker Dieter Hopf. After having worked in Hopf’s workshop from 1971 to 1994, he opened his own in Oberneisen and moved to Niederbrechen, Germany, five years later.
Some professional guitarists have taken the opportunity to play this excellent replica here with us and they were all fascinated by the sound character and the quality of this Carl Hermann Schäfer guitar. It has amazingly deep basses and an impressive sustain. The trebles sound delicate and crystal clear. Its easy playability combined with distinctive tonal and aesthetic qualities make this guitar a very desirable instrument.
