Karel Dedain - Gitarrenbauer
Karel Dedain wurde 1976 geboren und baut seit 1998 Gitarren. Seit 2006 ist er ein professioneller Gitarrenbauer und baut fast 8 Gitarren pro Jahr, die alle vorbestellt werden. Er lebt und arbeitet in der schönen Stadt Gent, Belgien. Die Konstruktionstechniken, die er verwendet, sind die der alten spanischen Meister, kombiniert mit moderneren Methoden. Jede einzelne Gitarre ist das Ergebnis einer Kombination aus Geschicklichkeit, Verständnis und Leidenschaft und ist daher ein Einzelstück. Nur die besten Hölzer - handverlesen und in der Werkstatt getrocknet - werden verwendet.
Karel Dedain-Gitarren werden in der ganzen Welt verkauft, von Europa über die USA bis nach Asien. Die Kunden sind sowohl Amateure als auch Profis, die auf der Suche nach einem professionellen, hochwertigen Instrument sind.
Seit 2006 unterrichtet er klassischen Gitarrenbau am Zentrum für Musikinstrumentenbau CMB in Puurs, Belgien, wo er selbst zwischen 1998 und 2005 ausgebildet wurde, hauptsächlich unter der Leitung von Walter Verreydt.
Von Anfang an fertigt Karel Dedain Repliken von antiken klassischen Konzertgitarren berühmter Hersteller wie Torres, Garcia, Arias oder Esteso. Für ihn ist die Erforschung der Originalinstrumente der beste Weg, um mehr über die Tradition und Geschichte des Gitarrenbaus zu erfahren und seine Fähigkeiten im Gitarrenbau weiterzuentwickeln.
