Kazuo Sato - Gitarrenbauer
Kazuo Sato wurde 1946 in Tokio geboren. Im Jahr 1965 begann er, sein Handwerk bei Gitarrenbaumeister Kuniharu Nobe zu erlernen. 1965 begann Kazuo Sato eine Lehre bei Gitarrenbaumeister Nobe in Tokio. 1971 ging er nach Oxford/England, um bei dem berühmten Meister David Rubio zu studieren, unter dessen Anleitung er mehr als 4 Jahre lang Gitarren und Lauten baute und seine Fähigkeiten perfektionierte. 1974 eröffnete er seine erste Werkstatt in Belgien und ließ sich zwei Jahre später in Deutschland nieder. Mit immer neuen Ideen und Innovationen treibt er die Entwicklung der traditionellen Konzertgitarre bis heute weiter voran.
Sein Sohn Hideo, der wie sein Bruder klassische Gitarre bei Prof. Ansgar Krause studierte, verfolgte das Geschehen in der Werkstatt von klein auf mit großem Interesse. Trotz einer vielversprechenden Karriere in der Softwarebranche in Japan beschloss er 2011, sich ganz dem Gitarrenbau zu widmen. Nach einer mehrjährigen Lehre baut er zusammen mit seinem Vater klassische Konzertgitarren. Hideo nutzt den Erfahrungsschatz seines Vaters und verwirklicht darauf aufbauend seine eigenen Ideen. Schon seine ersten Instrumente wurden von bekannten Gitarristen und Professoren gespielt und geschätzt. Wir engagieren uns für die Gitarrenkultur durch die Gründung der klassischen Konzertreihe „Best of Guitar“, arbeiten im Vorstand des Vereins „Kultur und Gitarre e.V.“ und unterstützen die Int. Gitarren Festival Augsburg. Regelmäßig arbeiten wir mit internationalen Künstlern an der anspruchsvollen Entwicklung von Klang- und Spieleigenschaften. Der weltweit gefragte Konzertgitarrist und Professor Takeo ist seit Beginn seiner Karriere unser wichtigster Berater in dieser Hinsicht.
