Description
Daniele Marrabello is one of the most sought-after Italian luthiers. After his guitar-making studies at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan, he became Enrico Bottelli’s pupil and deepened his woodworking skills, aesthetical identity, and sound personality under the guidance of the esteemed maestro. Daniele Marrabello opened his personal workshop in Vimodrone, on the outskirts of Milan, in 2012.
This year, Danielle has truly outdone himself with the creation of the Roma Expo Guitar 2024 Special Edition, a groundbreaking achievement in classical guitar craftsmanship. Named “Milano,” this guitar is the inaugural piece of the “CITY SERIES” and represents a significant leap forward in the field. Danielle invested a tremendous amount of time perfecting every detail, transforming the classical guitar into a breathtaking piece of art. His dedication to pushing the boundaries of what a classical guitar can be is evident in every aspect of its construction. With this masterpiece, Danielle is poised to set a new standard for future classical guitar making, particularly in Italy, where his innovations are likely to influence many.
The “Milano” features a premium Satinwood back and sides, complemented by a hand-split Master grade Swiss spruce top and a smoothly contoured Honduran mahogany V-jointed neck. Its rosette, inspired by the paving of Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, incorporates concentric squares and geometric figures framed by a colorful double half herringbone made of movingui, purpleheart, maple, and rosewood, creating an illusion of movement that captivates the observer. This guitar not only has a striking appearance but also delivers acoustically; it produces crystal clear trebles and deep, resonant basses, with an F primary resonance that lays a solid, colorful foundation. The trebles are exceptionally vibrant, ringing bell-like yet possessing the smoothness of velvety leather. Owning this instrument means possessing not just an outstanding musical tool but a piece of art that reflects profound aesthetic research and innovative craftsmanship.
