Description
Gil de Avalle has been building guitars since the early 1980s in Granada, which is a remarkable city in the heart of Andalusia that gathers a large number of experienced and famous guitar makers. In this stimulating environment of great masters, he learned the art of guitar making and trained for over ten years before opening his workshop in the 1990s. Today he is one of Granada’s most successful guitar makers.
This 2018 built instrument is a fine example of Gil de Avalle’s work. It has a very appealing and interesting plantilla (the general shape of the body). Its sound is very round and clear, with a singing Spanish first E string. It combines power and sustain, and also offers a wide range of tonal colors as well as dynamic possibilities. It is a superb classical guitar for recording and public performance. This second-hand guitar bearing the number 162 is in excellent condition with only a few superficial playing marks and is a great opportunity to get an excellent guitar at an attractive price.
