Description
Ivan Bruna is an Italian luthier with outstanding skills and great talent. He learned the subtleties of the craft from the great Italian master Enrico Bottelli and creates guitars whose aesthetics are deeply rooted in the Italian tradition. Thus he blends precise craftsmanship with an ingenious combination of woods, shapes and colours. Ivan Bruna focuses on three essential aspects when building a guitar: easy playability, reliability and tonal versatility.
This guitar, bearing the hand-written date November 2017 on the label, is a perfect example of the successful implementation of Ivan Bruna’s philosophy. The top has taken on a beautiful honey colour over the last two years. It is evident that the guitar was played by its previous owner, as it has a very open, balanced and mature sound. Moreover, this traditionally built guitar is also in perfect condition thanks to the great care of the former holder.
The demands of Ivan Bruna’s philosophy are perfectly fulfilled by the thin C-shaped neck, which is very pleasant to play. The direct response and sustain of this master instrument as well as the tonal flexibility are very convincing. This allows the player to create many different timbres with and unfold his musical potential with ease. The rich and refined sound is underlined by the tasteful design and the elaborate marquetry work. This guitar in almost mint condition is therefore a real gem in a reasonable price range.
