Description
This double-top guitar built by the Czech luthier Jan Schneider is a fantastic instrument in its price category. Built with the players’ comfort and the public’s delight in mind, this guitar is designed to be a reliable, powerful, and comfortable concert instrument. Using no carbon nor Nomex for, the double top is obtained by milling the first layer of cedar to reduce its weight, and then doubling it with a second thinner piece of cedar to get a resonant and resistant soundboard. This extra light construction, paired with overall care for lightness in the choice of the wood, makes for a very responsive, powerful, and spontaneous instrument. For the playing comfort, Jan Schneider opted for an elevated fingerboard along with an ergonomic fretboard radius, a satin neck, and an armrest. Sound wise, this guitar truly impresses by its almost endless seeming sustain, impressive volume, and warm tone.
