Description
Jesús de Jiménez is a well-known flamenco guitar maker from Andalusia. He was born in 1973 into a family of musicians and was influenced from an early age by his grandfather, who was a well-respected guitarist of his time. He started building guitars in his twenties and opened his own workshop in the small town of Gilena (between Granada and Seville) just a few years later. Since then, he has had much success with his guitars, which are full of character. He learned a lot from working with the two famous flamenco artists Nino de Pura and Manolo Franco, who play on his instruments today.
This guitar is a very typical Spanish guitar with a traditional bracing, a strong and confident voice, and great dynamic possibilities. It responds very directly and projects quickly with a lot of sustain, allowing it to develop both a very powerful character and a beautiful melancholic note. All in all, an excellent Spanish guitar from one of the most renowned guitar makers of its generation.
