Description
Marco Lijoi is an Itialian luthier based in Savigliano in the province of Cuneo. He started playing the guitar at the early age of four, and since his passion for woodworking was overtaking his interest in physics, becoming a luthier became evident after his high school graduation. Therefore, Marco entered the prestigious guitar-making school “Civica Scuola di Liuteria” in Milan, where he received a Master Luthier title after four years of intense studies. Marco Lijoi now opened his own workshop in Savigliano (CN), where he builds first-quality instruments inspired by nature, particularly the mountains and the sky.
This fantastic lightweight guitar with the number 13 is Marco Lijoi’s first double-top guitar. With its two super-thin layers of spruce and a micro-layer of carbon fibre between them, the top of this instrument is remarkably responsive. The construction is pure and minimalistic, which makes it possible to keep the weight under 1400 grams, while maintaining immense tonal power and very satisfying sustain. With a maple back and sides and a matte polish, this is a fantastic all-handmade guitar with a very attractive price tag.
