Description
Per Hallgren is established in Sweden since more than 25 years and progressively became one of the leading Scandinavian classical guitar luthiers. He builds both traditional and double top guitars with a great consistency in the delicacy of their sound and very high level of craftmanship.
This fantastic cedar double-top guitar is one of the most balanced double-top instruments we have had in the shop. It is a beautiful guitar with a very precise workmanship. Every part of the guitar’s body is doubled: double-top cedar / cedar, double-back cedar / Indian rosewood and double-sides Indian rsw. / Indian rsw. This gives a bit more weight to the body, which makes the guitar very comfortable and stable in both sound and playability. It has a very warm and consistent tone, well defined with a distinct clarity. The neck is nicely profiled and very pleasent for the left hand. Moreover, this double-top is a voluminous instrument with lots of projection, and great dynamic range and tone colours. Therefore plucking the strings lightly will produce a really decent volume. It is a both absolutely beautiful and very comfortable guitar at a fair price at this level of quality.
