Description
This instrument is a Tielke model, which was constructed in 1924 and finished in 1948 by one of the most important German luthiers: Richard Jacob Weissgerber. The penciled inscription on the crossbar above the sound hole shows the serial number 25.6/0. The two-piece top is made of nut-brown stained spruce wood. On height of the sound hole on the left side is a repaired crack that was cleated with some little pieces of spruce wood. The eleven-piece back is vaulted and consists of beautiful cherrywood just like the sides. The overall condition is very good for the age of this guitar. The finish and the tuning machines are original and the guitar comes with its original case.
