Überblick
Überblick
Richard Jacob “Weißgerber” was one of the most creative, innovative and certainly the most versatile guitar maker of the 20th century. Neither in Germany nor in the world has there been or is there any other master whose work, in its multiplicity, would be comparable to that of Richard Jacob. The variety of his models, their shapes and designs are unique.
This beautiful 1927 Concert model is in amazing condition and built with the finest Rio rosewood. The guitar has a short well-repaired hairline crack on the bottom part of the top. The pencilled inscription on the crossbar above the sound hole has the serial number 28.4/4. It is a fine and sensible instrument with an incredibly sweet and rounded tone. The colour possibilities are endless, and the playability is perfect. It is probably the best guitar from Richard Weissgerber that ever entered our shop. The tuners a top-class Rodgers and a hard-shell case is included.
