Description
The Hopf family dedicated itself to the construction of instruments many years ago. Already in 1669, the name “Hopf” is mentioned in a written document. The tradition of making instruments has continued until today and at present time, Dieter Hopf is maintaining it. Dieter Hopf was born in 1936 and lives in Taunusstein since 1949. At first he started a training in Mittenwald to become a violin maker. Afterwards he turned to the guitar and passed his master’s examination in 1968. This guitar by Dieter Hopf was built in 2016 in Taunusstein. His instruments have been, and are still, played by many famous guitarists such as Alexandre Lagoya, Baden Powell and Michael Tröster. The top is made of cedar, back and sides are made of CITES certified Brazilian rosewood. This guitar is in very good condition. A hard-shell case is included.
