Description
Walter Verreydt built his first guitars in 1985. He was primarily a woodworking teacher and his love for music led him to build his first guitar and to become a luthier. Since 1988 Walter teaches classical guitar making at the “Centrum voor Muziekinstrumentenbouw” in Puurs (Belgium). He studied many guitars of famous luthiers like Ignacio Fleta, Robert Bouchet, Hernandez y Aguado and many more. His very good relationships with Daniel Friederich and José Romanillos helped him in the development of his own ideas. His guitars are handmade in the Spanish tradition and every instrument is the product of his personal growth and constant studies.
This fantastic guitar is an Enrique Garcia model and one of the most gorgeous we have ever seen. The Cites certified Brazilian rosewood used for back and sides is just unbelievably stunning. The colour range goes from orange to green, displaying a whimsy grain and delightful reflexions. Moreover, the varnished is spotless and this guitar is as new. The expected 8 fan bracing as well as the optical features typical of Enrique Garcia are perfectly executed and the guitar is equipped with finest Scheller tuners.
Also sound wise one can sense many similar impressions to the ones produced by an original E. Garcia guitar. The delicate and elegant tone is impressively balanced all along the fingerboard and the first string sings admirably.
