Tamara Stahl

Tamara Stahl is a German luthier who began her guitar-making journey in 2016 while working at Siccas Guitars in Karlsruhe. After completing her studies at the renowned Mittenwald School of Instrument Making, she moved to southern Spain to learn from master luthiers. In 2022, she co-founded a workshop in Weimar with fellow luthier Johanna Vogl, where they create high-quality classical guitars in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

About the Guitar Maker

Tamara Stahl began her journey into guitar making in 2016 while working at Siccas Guitars in Karlsruhe, Germany. Playing and studying a wide range of handcrafted instruments sparked her passion for understanding the construction and subtleties of finely built guitars. Captivated by the craftsmanship and tonal diversity of the instruments she encountered, she decided to pursue luthiery professionally.

In 2019, Tamara completed her training at the prestigious Mittenwald School of Instrument Making in Bavaria, one of Europe’s most renowned institutions for stringed instrument craftsmanship. To deepen her understanding of the history and culture of the classical guitar, she moved to southern Spain—the birthplace of the modern guitar—where she had the opportunity to learn from experienced master luthiers and refine her personal approach.

In 2022, Tamara co-founded a workshop in Weimar, Germany, together with luthier Johanna Vogl. This collaborative space allows them to work individually on their instruments while sharing inspiration, knowledge, and mutual support. Their partnership fosters creativity and contributes to the ongoing evolution of contemporary European guitar making.
