MusiSHEans brings professional female guitarists together and organizes a yearly music tour through Europe. The dream: Connect musicians across the globe and celebrate the world of female music. Because: Music has no gender. By putting female guitarists on the big stage MusiSHEans is creating role models for the younger generation. It inspires them to pick up an instrument and to give something new a try. For the MusiSHEans Guitar Tour 2024, the two MusiSHEans founders Judith Beckedorf from Germany and Karlijn Langendijk from the Netherlands invited Avin Ahmadi from Iran and Annika Teubner from Germany to join them on a musical adventure through Germany and Italy. The four musicians will play solo as well as in different combinations throughout the concert in the styles of world music, modern, classical and pop fingerstyle and singer/songwriter. MusiSHEans is supported by renowned international artists, such as: Badi Assad (Brazil), Tommy Emmanuel (Australia), Jon Gomm (England) und John Knowles (USA).
Avin Ahmadi (Iran) – Oud/Vocals
Avin Ahmadi is an Iranian musician, oud player, and vocalist, born on a winter day in 2004 in Tehran, Iran. Avin expresses her deepest feelings, thoughts, and experiences through her creative process; she invites listeners on a profound and transformative journey through the power of her music. Beyond her musical activities, Avin is an enthusiastic dancer and performer. She is fascinated by exploring various aspects of life and always strives to learn and grow as an artist and as a person.
Annika Teubner (Germany) – Percussive Fingerstyle/Tapping
Annika Teubner began playing guitar at the age of 7 and already at 16 she emerged victorious against all competitors at the national competition “Youth Makes Music” and won first place. Since 2021, she has been studying Jazz/Rock/Pop- Acoustic Guitar at the University of Music in Dresden. In her original compositions with titles like “Fire Ants On Mars,” she combines percussive elements, exciting harmonies, and tapping.
Karlijn Langendijk (Netherlands) – Classical Fingerstyle
… has been surrounded by acoustic guitar music since birth and began playing guitar herself at the age of 13, inspired by her father. Fascinated by the technique of fingerstyle and influenced by classical and modern concert music, she has been composing ever since. She has already toured through Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and China, and has shared the stage with artists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger.
Judith Beckedorf (Germany) – Popfingerstyle & Singer/Songwriter
Judith Beckedorf is a multi-instrumentalist on guitar, mandolin, and banjo, as well as a singer/songwriter. Her own compositions combine tangible melody, unfiltered personal experiences, and fictional stories, mostly on nylon-string guitar. In Nashville, TN, she fell in love with folk music and incorporates it into her playing. Her concerts have taken her through various projects across Europe and the USA.
