Aliosha de Santis

Aliosha de Santis

Aliosha De Santis discovered his passion for guitar music at the age of nine. He first received lessons from his grandfather, followed by studies with Giulio Disposti and the renowned guitar virtuoso Flavio Citatto, a student of Andrés Segovia. He completed his classical guitar education at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome and earned his master’s degree at the Conservatorio G. Tartini in Trieste. Among other distinctions, he was awarded a scholarship for nineteenth-century music.

Aliosha De Santis is a prizewinner and finalist of numerous international guitar competitions. He attended masterclasses with internationally respected guitarists such as David Russell, Marco Socias, Marcello Rivelli and Virginia Luque, as well as orchestral masterclasses with Fabrizio Bastianni and Tonino Battista. He performs as a soloist in Italy and abroad, and his artistic work is documented in various radio and television productions.

He also serves as co-director of the International Guitar Seminar in Reisbach. Aliosha De Santis is known for his refined musicianship, performing with a high level of technical mastery and expressive sensitivity, whether lyrical, energetic, delicate or sharply articulated.

Performing at Siccas Guitars

Every classical guitarist who performs at Siccas Guitars brings a distinct musical path to the instrument — shaped by years of study, competition experience, and the particular musical tradition they have chosen to inhabit. The classical guitar demands sustained technical commitment and a deep engagement with a repertoire that spans from the Renaissance through to works written for living performers. It is an instrument whose full possibilities only reveal themselves over time.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
