Anabel Montesinos – International Award-Winning Concert Guitarist

Anabel Montesinos, the youngest winner of the Francisco Tárrega International Guitar Competition in Spain (at just 17 years old), is recognized today as one of the leading figures in the classical guitar world. With more than ten first prizes in major international competitions – including the Michele Pittaluga Competition in Alessandria (Italy), the Julián Arcas Competition (Spain), and the Raiffeisen Competition in Salzburg (Austria) – she established herself early as an exceptional artist.

Her concert career has taken her across the globe. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2011 and has performed Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez for audiences of over 4000 people in the Potsdam Open-Air Concerts in Berlin. She has appeared with orchestras such as the Philharmonic of Turin (Italy), Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra (Venezuela), Philharmonic of Oulu (Finland), Havana Philharmonic (Cuba), and the Moscow Philharmonic (Russia).

She is an Honorary Citizen of Solero, Italy. In 2011, she received the Premio Chitarra d’Oro as a promising young talent at the Convegno Internazionale di Chitarra in Alessandria.

Her recordings for Naxos include a debut CD selected by British Airways for its intercontinental flight music program. Critics worldwide praise the beauty, freshness and virtuosity of her interpretations. She has shared concert stages with Paco de Lucía, presenting “the other side of Spanish music” to remarkable acclaim.

Her 2019 tour concluded with a celebrated performance of a special orchestral, choral and guitar arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, receiving overwhelming ovations.

She performs on a Steve Connor guitar and is a Savarez Artist.

Performing at Siccas Guitars

Every classical guitarist who performs at Siccas Guitars brings a distinct musical path to the instrument — shaped by years of study, competition experience, and the particular musical tradition they have chosen to inhabit. The classical guitar demands sustained technical commitment and a deep engagement with a repertoire that spans from the Renaissance through to works written for living performers. It is an instrument whose full possibilities only reveal themselves over time.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
