Anika Hutschreuther
Anika Hutschreuther studied classical guitar at the conservatories of Stuttgart, Kassel and Hamburg, where she graduated with distinction in 2010. Her teachers included Michael Tröster, Klaus Hempel and Olaf von Gonnissen. In addition, she attended numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned guitarists.
During her studies, she received sponsorship from the Markel Foundation. In 2006, she won First Prize at the Concours d’Ufam in Paris, Third Prize at the Kitarika Competition in Koper, Slovenia, and reached the semi-finals of the Karl Scheit Competition in Vienna. In May 2010, she was awarded the Hermann and Milena Ebel Prize as an outstanding young musician.
Anika Hutschreuther performs on both classical and baroque guitar at a high artistic level. Her concert activities include appearances as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany and abroad. She has also performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra in 2010 and the Hochtaunus Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2011.
She teaches at the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School in Eisenach and works as a private guitar teacher in Kassel.
