Cyprien N’tsaï
Cyprien N’tsaï was born in 1995 and grew up in the southern French city of Marseille. Inspired by his father, he began playing the guitar at the age of eight and studied under Raymond Gratien at the Marseille Conservatory. In 2013 he moved to Paris to continue his training, working with Jérémy Jouve, Tania Chagnot, and Judicaël Perroy.
At the age of twenty he won first prize at the international EWIVF competition in Tokyo. Further first prizes followed in Kutna Hora, Carry-le-Rouet, and Vienna. His first album Reflets was recorded in Tokyo and released in February 2017 by Sylphide Records.
N’tsaï has performed in Japan, Thailand, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, and Italy, and he appears regularly in France. His solo concerts feature a varied repertoire, and he often engages audiences in cultural and musical exchange. In 2020 he created the project Balad’un âne, a walking tour through the villages of his home region in Provence. Alongside his solo career he also performs in chamber ensembles, including a duo with soprano Olga Vojnovic, presenting French melodies by Debussy, Fauré, and Satie arranged for voice and guitar.
He teaches guitar at the CRD of Aulnay-sous-Bois and continues his pedagogical studies at the higher center for artistic education in Aubervilliers (pôle sup’93).
Performing at Siccas Guitars
Every classical guitarist who performs at Siccas Guitars brings a distinct musical path to the instrument — shaped by years of study, competition experience, and the particular musical tradition they have chosen to inhabit. The classical guitar demands sustained technical commitment and a deep engagement with a repertoire that spans from the Renaissance through to works written for living performers. It is an instrument whose full possibilities only reveal themselves over time.
