Natalia Lipnitskaya – Classical Guitarist

Natalia Lipnitskaya is a classical guitarist, pedagogue and recording artist whose career spans performances throughout Europe, the United States and Mexico. Born in Belarus, she began studying guitar at the age of nine and continued her musical education at the Mikhail Glinka State Musical College in Minsk, receiving a Teacher’s Diploma with highest honors under the guidance of Vladimir Belyshev.

She later earned her Artist Diploma from the Belorussian National Academy of Music, again graduating with highest honors while studying with Evgeny Gridiushko. Natalia continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with Alvaro Pierri. As part of the ERASMUS program, she also attended the Paris National Conservatory, studying with Olivier Chassain.

Natalia Lipnitskaya has received numerous distinctions, including First Prize at the International Guitar Competition in Savona, the Antonio Aparicio International Guitar Competition in Alicante, the International Guitar Competition in Kutna Hora and the John Duarte International Guitar Competition in Rust. She also received Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the Ville d’Antony International Guitar Competition.

Her recent engagements include performances at Les Rencontres Internationales de Bulle, the Festival International de Lambesc and the Festival et Concours International de Carry le Rouet, where she also served as a juror. She has appeared at the Festival Internacional de Guitarra de Monterrey in Mexico, at the Brno International Guitar Festival, at the Belorussian State Philharmonic Hall and at the International John Duarte Guitar Festival. Her concert tours in the United States have included appearances at the University of Texas at Dallas and California State University, Northridge.

Natalia has extensive experience as an educator, having taught at the Conservatoire de Courbevoie and at the Pôle d’Enseignement Supérieur de la Musique Seine-Saint-Denis Île-de-France. She currently resides in San Francisco, where she teaches in the preparatory program of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Her discography includes a solo album of Bach transcriptions released by Music Inside Records. She was also the subject of a 40-minute television portrait, “The Guitar of Natalia Lipnitskaya”, broadcast by the national channel BT1 in Belarus.
