Philosophy of Craftsmanship
I dedicate myself to building one instrument at a time – a unique creation thoughtfully crafted for the player. While batch production may be more efficient, experience has shown that the highest level of quality and satisfaction for both the musician and myself can only be achieved through this individualized approach.
Criteria
My goal is to create guitars that sound exceptional, look beautiful, and offer outstanding comfort. Each instrument begins with a clear focus on the player. Their vision of tone, aesthetics and ergonomics is carefully integrated into the design. Every guitar receives customized dimensions and setup tailored to the player’s technique.
I also specialize in working with clients who have physical limitations, helping them improve posture and hand comfort through ergonomic adjustments and thoughtful construction.
The Building Process
Every guitar begins with the selection of tonewoods for the soundboard, body and neck. Each piece of wood is unique and carries its own acoustic personality. Through carving, thinning and shaping by hand, I draw out the finest tonal qualities each material can offer.
The instrument is assembled on the solera, the traditional Spanish guitar workboard. Finally, every guitar receives a complete French polish for an elegant and resonant finish.
The Result
The result is an extremely responsive, well-balanced instrument that is a joy to play. Words can only go so far – recordings and testimonials from satisfied players express its qualities best.
The Craft
Classical guitar construction at concert level demands years of accumulated knowledge: how individual pieces of timber vibrate, how bracing patterns affect tonal balance, how small changes in geometry shift the character of an instrument. A finished concert guitar typically represents several hundred hours of hand work. Every decision — wood selection, arch height, brace dimensions — shapes what a player can do with the finished instrument.
