Mertz, Schubert & Tárrega on Siccas Luthiers Guitars

Cristina Galietto presents a journey through the Romantic guitar repertoire in this concert on Siccas Luthiers guitars. The programme brings together three voices of the 19th century: Johann Kaspar Mertz, whose original guitar writing embodies the Romantic spirit; Franz Schubert's Ave Maria, a transcription that has become one of the most moving pieces in the guitar canon; and Francisco Tárrega's Fantasia on Themes from La Traviata, a virtuoso homage to Verdi's opera.

Galietto, born in Naples in 2000, is the first female winner of the EuroStrings competition (2021) and holds multiple international first prizes including the Andrés Segovia Competition in Monheim am Rhein.
