Overview
Manuel Ramirez (1864-1916) is definitely one of the most important luthiers of the guitar history. In his Madrilenian workshop, Manuel Ramirez trained and inspired many now-legendary guitar makers such as Santos Hernandez, Enrique Garcia, Domingo Esteso, Modesto Borreguero and many more.
Only a handful of Manuel Ramirez’s instruments known today are comparable to this fantastic 1910 full-size concert guitar. One of these very few guitars is actually one of the most famous guitars in the world: Andrés Segovia’s 1912 Manuel Ramirez, exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of New York. The similarity between the two instruments is striking. Moreover, this guitar has such a lovely sound, plentiful of colours and is absolutely to be played in recitals again.
Highly collectible is therefore the minimum to say to describe the actual rarity of this precious and inspiring guitar.
