The Ramirez Dynasty, founded by José Ramirez I, is building fine and high-quality guitars since 1882. In his Madrid-based workshop, José Ramirez I taught a huge number of talented, and now famous, luthiers such as Enrique Garcia, Julian Gomez Ramirez, Antonio Pascual Viudes, his brother Manuel Ramirez and eventually his son José Ramirez II.
This very beautiful classical guitar was built in 1956 in Madrid by José Ramirez II. It has a spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It is a very responsive instrument with a direct response and playful colours. This is a very special guitar with a bright, silvery and voluminous tone. The guitar is in overall very good condition for its age.There are some well restored cracks on the back and on the top. A hard-shell case is included.
