Belmin Okanovic (1997, Tuzla, B&H) began studying classical guitar at the age of seven in his hometown, where he completed both Elementary and High Music School under the direction of Prof. Predrag Stankovic.
He participated in masterclasses with internationally respected guitarists, including Marcin Dylla, Marco Tamayo, Denis Azabagic, Dejan Ivanovic, Thomas Offerman, Srdjan Tosic, Sanel Redzic and others.
At international competitions for young guitarists, Belmin won more than twenty prizes, demonstrating a high level of technical and artistic development from an early age.
In 2013, he received an award from the Ministry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as the best student among all High Music Schools in the country, a distinction of which he is especially proud.
Belmin completed his Master’s degree at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf.
He has since completed his Master's degree at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf (class of Joaquín Clerch) and is now based in Vienna. He has won more than 30 international prizes, including first prize at the 2023 Miguel Llobet Competition in Barcelona.
