Sanel Redžić is regarded as one of the most virtuoso guitarists of the young generation, with many experts predicting him a distinguished international career. Performing a wide repertoire from baroque to contemporary works, he has become an important figure on today’s international music scene.

He was born on July 25, 1988, in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He began playing guitar at the age of eight at the elementary music school in Tuzla under the guidance of Predrag Stanković, with whom he completed secondary music school in 2007 with the highest marks. He then continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar with Thomas Müller-Pering and Ricardo Gallén.

During his studies he participated in masterclasses with renowned artists including David Russell, Costas Cotsiolis, William Kanengiser, Aniello Desiderio, Denis Azabagić, Dejan Ivanović, Petr Saidl, Jorgos Panetsos, Thomas Offerman, Jozef Zsapka and Darko Petrinjak. In 2005 he was honoured in Tuzla as Teenager of the Year for the school year 2004/05.

To date, he has performed in more than 1000 concerts across Europe, Asia, North and South America, appearing in countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Chile, India, China, Japan and the USA. He has appeared in renowned venues including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall and the Philharmonic Hall Paul Constantinescu in Ploiești. He is also frequently invited to perform as a soloist with orchestras.

He has won top prizes at major international guitar competitions, including events in Tokyo, Tychy, the Forum Gitarre Wien, Markneukirchen, the Anna Amalia Competition in Weimar, the Andrés Segovia Competition in Velbert, Kutná Hora, Guitar Mania in Lisbon and the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade. He is also active as a jury member and regularly gives masterclasses.

Since 2006 he has recorded several CDs for Gramofon Sarajevo, Central German Radio (MDR) and KSG Exaudio, and he has appeared in numerous radio and television productions.

Sanel Redžić plays guitars by Otto Vowinkel (2004), Kohno/Sakurai (2012) and Slavko Mrdalj (2013), and uses strings by Savarez and D’Addario.
