Vera Danilina: A Rising Star in Classical Guitar

Vera Danilina, born in 1999 in Penza, Russia, has rapidly become one of the most gifted and promising classical guitarists of her generation.

Early Beginnings and First Achievements

She began studying guitar at the age of five with Olga Odrina in Penza. Her remarkable talent soon became evident: in 2011 she won the international Guitar Gems competition in Israel, followed by a first prize in Brno, Czech Republic, in 2012.

Success in Russian Competitions

Vera has also excelled at nearly every major guitar competition in Russia, securing her position as one of the country’s leading young artists.

International Breakthrough and Artistic Growth

At age 16 she entered the class of Professor Vladimir Mityakov. Her studies at the Glinka Conservatory in Nizhny Novgorod further deepened her musical mastery.

Her performances are defined by brilliant technique, a beautiful tone, and a commanding stage presence. Despite her youth, she already has significant experience performing with orchestras in competitions and concerts.

After winning the prestigious Michele Pittaluga International Guitar Competition in Alessandria, Italy, Vera has been touring Europe since 2023.

Her debut album, released in July 2023 on the Contrastes Records label, received enthusiastic critical acclaim.

In October of the same year, she joined Jérémy Jouve’s class at the Regional Conservatory of Paris.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
