Juan Alexander Grupalli is a luthier whose work reflects both tradition and craftsmanship shaped by international experience. He began his training in 1998 with Joaquín García Fernández and Stephen Hill, later studying at the Lutherie School of San Miguel de Tucumán in Argentina and earning his diploma from Newark College in the UK in 2009. Inspired by masters such as Antonio de Torres, Hermann Hauser, and Ignacio Fleta, he builds his guitars using traditional methods and carefully aged tonewoods. Based in Mirecourt, France - a town with a rich lutherie heritage- Grupalli continues to craft instruments known for their balance, depth, and refined tonal character.

Juan Alexander Grupalli began his journey in guitar making in 1998, studying with Joaquin Garcia Fernández and Stephen Hill. He later attended the Lutherie School of San Miguel de Tucumán in Argentina and obtained his official Guitar Making Diploma from Newark College in the United Kingdom in 2009.

His instruments are deeply inspired by the legacy of great masters such as Antonio de Torres, Hermann Hauser, and Ignacio Fleta. Juan Alexander Grupalli adheres to traditional construction techniques and uses only well-seasoned tonewoods, ensuring that each guitar embodies both structural integrity and musical expressiveness.

He chose to establish his workshop in the historic village of Mirecourt, France—a place renowned for its centuries-old lutherie tradition—where he continues to craft instruments that blend classical heritage with meticulous contemporary craftsmanship.
