About the Guitar Maker

Roberto de Miranda, born in 1960 in Milan, is one of Italy’s most highly respected luthiers. He graduated in 1984 from the School of Guitar Making in Vignate, where he mastered the foundations of traditional Spanish guitar construction. To further refine his skills, he studied under Maestro José Luis Romanillos in Spain in 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1996, specializing in guitars modeled after Antonio de Torres.

In 1998, Roberto began developing his own innovative construction techniques aimed at increasing the instrument’s sound volume while preserving the tonal beauty and character of his guitars. His craftsmanship is a perfect synthesis of tradition and innovation, resulting in instruments that combine powerful projection with warmth and clarity.

His achievements were recognized in 2014 when he won the “Golden Prize” for guitar making at the International Guitar Convention in Alessandria, one of Italy’s most prestigious awards for luthiers.

Roberto de Miranda’s guitars are played by world-renowned artists such as Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Frederic Zigante, and Drew Henderson.
