Angelo Vailati – 2023 REG “Romanillos”

Angelo Vailati – 2023 REG “Romanillos”

Overview

Angelo Vailati belongs to the younger generation of highly qualified Italian luthiers who have already established themselves internationally and are among the most outstanding representatives of the Italian guitar-building scene. After learning from the best and acquiring knowledge under the guidance of Enrico Bottelli, José Luis Romanillos, and Daniele Chiesa, Angelo opened his workshop in Bologna, Italy. The great masters of the guitar-building tradition strongly inspire his guitars. The craftsmanship is precise, delicate and allows him to express his great talent in building tasteful guitars.

This 2023 Roma Guitar Expo Special Edition Angelo Vailati Guitar is the pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship. This remarkable instrument, standing out amidst the guitar pantheon, is a tribute to the iconic work of Jose L. Romanillos. Painstakingly handcrafted by Angelo Vailati using the finest wood selection at his disposal, it represents an exquisite fusion of artistry and sound engineering.

Unravel the unique characteristics of this guitar; a resonant Austrian spruce soundboard, striking Satinwood back, and sides, plus an enchanting flamed cedar neck. Its intricate headstock decoration takes inspiration from the 2005 Jose L. Romanillos masterpiece, "La Amistad". Adding a touch of opulence, the golden satinwood back is adorned with a replica of the Romanillos "La Adelita 1997" design.

The sides of this magnificent guitar feature a border with a double band of colored threads, showcasing natural wood hues in a staggered, random arrangement. This detail mirrors the meticulous precision of Vailati's handiwork, highlighting the macro and micro elements of the guitar's structure and design.

Reflecting Vailati's meticulous attention to detail, a French polish of exemplary quality graces the guitar. This finish not only amplifies the instrument's visual appeal but subtly enhances its overall sound quality, affirming the importance of every minutia in the creation of a phenomenal instrument.

Experience the intersection of artistic prowess and innovative design with the 2023 Angelo Vailati Special Edition Guitar. It's not just an instrument; it's a testament to the boundless creativity and seasoned expertise of Vailati, making it the epitome of guitar craftsmanship at the 2023 Roma Guitar Expo. • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
