Overview
The Duke© Meister ST is made of solid wood and combines CITES-free tonewoods with an innovative thermal spruce top. The body is made of Santos rosewood and does, therefore, correspond to the regulation of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, which entered into force on 02.01.2017. This means that the owner does not need to prove the origin of the woods, which would be required, for example, when traveling to non-EU countries such as Switzerland. In addition, Santos rosewood is an excellent tonewood with an exciting wood structure that fits brilliantly into the Duke© Meister line.
On the basis of the latest research results, the spruce top from the alpine highlands of the Swiss Graubünden has been refined with a thermal vacuum process. This artificial aging process positively changes the sound and makes the wood less susceptible to moisture fluctuations. In addition, the wood gets a pleasant warm shade.
