Overview
This is the last normal scaled guitar from the workshop of Hannabach. Only one “Terz guitar”, built in 2014 (no. 1088), was built afterwards. The instrument combines all typical Hannabach features from the seventies and eighties:
– the rosette with the family crest
– the arc-shaped head silhouette typical of the time
– a head plate from the cooperation with Paul Uhlemann, an important woodcarver from “Vogtland”. Hannabach kept this plate until he built this guitar. Uhlemann was known for his cooperation with Richard Jacob “Weissgerber” in the thirties and forties.
Back and sides are made of carob, in addition the center of the back is made of a vast inlay of koa. This Hawaiian wood was brought by Hannabach from a journey to the archipelago. Furthermore, the guitar comes with tuners made by David Rodgers. The old hazel spruce top has been carefully chosen for this instrument. A hardshell case is included.
