Overview

The Giacomo Guadagna “Venere Concerto” REG 2025 Limited Edition is a concert guitar that blends traditional craftsmanship with a distinctive Mediterranean character. Built with a torrefied Italian spruce top and birdseye maple back and sides, it offers a clear, resonant voice with excellent projection and tonal balance across all registers. The seven-fan bracing supports both depth and clarity, ensuring neither bass nor treble dominates. A richly decorated rosette inspired by Sicilian majolica sets the visual tone, echoed in the tie block, purfling, and fretboard detailing. The striking maple grain further enhances its individuality, making this guitar a refined expression of Guadagna’s artistic vision.

About the luthier

Born in Sicily in 1977, Giacomo Guadagna graduated in Musicology from the University of Bologna, nurturing a lifelong passion for music, musical instruments, and ethnomusicology. In his final year of university, his interest in music deepened, leading him to explore the world of luthiery. He subsequently enrolled in various courses focused on the construction of plucked and bowed string instruments, continuing to refine his skills over the years through advanced training. In 2007, Giacomo restored a farmhouse in Tuscany where he now lives and works. There, he developed his own classical concert guitar model: La Venere — a tribute to the goddess of beauty, femininity, and fertility. Since 2008, he has been teaching courses on building this guitar model in his workshop.

About the guitar

The “Venere Concerto” is a concert model entirely designed by Giacomo Guadagna. It features a traditional seven-fan bracing system and was developed to achieve a perfect tonal balance, where neither basses nor trebles dominate. This REG 2025 Limited Edition is equipped with a torrefied Italian spruce top and birdseye maple back and sides, creating a clear and resonant tone with excellent projection. Visually, the guitar stands out for its richly detailed aesthetic. The elaborate rosette is inspired by traditional Sicilian majolica (tin-glazed pottery) and features a mosaic-like composition, which is echoed in the tie block and fine purfling along the body and fretboard. The fretboard itself features a delicate purfling and binding, adding to the overall elegance of the instrument. The birdseye maple used for the back and sides serves as a final visual flourish — a vibrant, natural pattern that gives the instrument both character and individuality. With remarkable projection, tonal clarity, and a distinctly Mediterranean visual identity, this REG 2025 Limited Edition is a superb example of Giacomo Guadagna’s artistry.

Frequently Asked Questions About Classical Guitars

How do I choose the right classical guitar for my level?

Choosing the right classical guitar depends on your playing level, musical goals, and budget. Beginners benefit from studio-model guitars from renowned workshops, while advanced players and professionals often choose a handmade master guitar. We are happy to advise you personally and can send detailed sound samples and videos on request.

What is the difference between a master guitar and a studio guitar?

Master guitars are built entirely by hand in the workshop of a single luthier, using only high-quality, well-aged tonewoods. Studio guitars are made in small series, often under the supervision of the master luthier, and offer excellent value for students and ambitious amateur players.

Can I try a classical guitar at home for 14 days?

Yes — every guitar you purchase from us comes with a 14-day home approval period. This complimentary trial applies worldwide to all orders, whether you are in Germany, Europe, the USA, Asia or anywhere else. We ship your instrument fully insured in a high-quality case so you can play it under your own acoustic conditions. If the guitar is not the right one for you, simply send it back and receive a full refund of the purchase price.

Can I try a classical guitar before purchasing?

Absolutely. You are warmly invited to visit our showroom in Karlsruhe, Germany, and test the instruments at your leisure. We are happy to schedule a personal appointment. If a visit is not possible, we send detailed videos and sound samples, and offer extensive consultation by phone or video call.

What payment methods and financing options do you offer?

We accept bank transfer, PayPal, major credit cards, and Klarna. For high-value instruments, we offer individual installment plans on request. Please contact us directly — we will find a suitable solution for every budget.

How do I properly care for my classical guitar?

A classical guitar requires constant humidity between 45 and 55 percent. Store the instrument in its case with a humidifier, avoid direct sunlight and large temperature fluctuations. Change the strings regularly and clean the guitar with a soft microfiber cloth.
