Overview
Born in La Plata, Argentina, Guillermo Aguer studied guitar at the National University of La Plata (UNLP) and lutherie with Maestro Julio Oscar Giorgio. Since 2011 he has his own workshop in the city of Capilla del Monte, Córdoba, Argentina. For this guitar, only woods were used that have been stored for over 100 years. It is a classical guitar that has a three piece spruce top and a two-piece back made of nogal. The guitar is fitted with traditional pegs. The plantilla and soundboard shape of this quite light weight instrument is based on a guitar that was made by Manuel de Soto y Solares. Very impressive is the strong treble that is very open for a new guitar. The bass is deep and resonant and the tones can be described as very rich but not too loud. All French polished.
