Hermann Hauser ® II - 1976
Overview
Overview
Hermann Hauser ® II was born in 1911 and from 1930 worked in the same workshop as his father Hermann Hauser ® I. He took over the management of the workshop in 1952 and ran the company until 1983. He is one of the most important violin makers of the 21st century. Julian Bream, one of the most popular guitarists of the last century, played a guitar built by Hermann Hauser ® II in 1957.
Hermann Hauser ® II is worldwide known for his classical guitars that were played by famous guitarists like Julian Bream and Andrés Segovia. But Hauser ® II has also built some very special guitars for his customers. This rare tierce Stauffer model is one of these special guitars. There are existing only two guitars of this type worldwide, that were built by the famous luthier.
The top of this guitar is made of German spruce wood which Hauser ® II also used for his classical guitars. For the sides and the two-piece back he has chosen beautiful flamed maple wood. The special tuning machines are embedded into the head and covered by a beautiful decorated plate. It's a beautiful guitar in almost mint condition. Including original case.

Classical Guitars
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
