About the guitar
Built in 2023, this guitar pairs a cedar soundboard with Indian rosewood back and sides and a radial bracing system reinforced with carbon fibre. The internal sides are doubled with mahogany, increasing structural rigidity and helping the instrument project with focus and stability. Its voice combines the warmth and density of cedar with a notably broad dynamic range. Softer playing retains colour and definition, while greater energy from the right hand opens the sound without causing individual lines to lose their shape. The response is immediate and flexible, allowing changes of articulation, intensity, and tonal colour to emerge clearly. This combination of responsiveness, projection, and structural control makes the guitar particularly well suited to demanding repertoire and regular performance.
Condition
The guitar is in very good condition, with normal signs of wear consistent with extensive but careful use. A fine hairline crack near the armrest was carefully repaired and stabilised at an early stage to prevent further opening. A lightweight Schatten pickup has been installed beneath the soundboard in the bridge area. The installation required only an endpin modification for the output connector. The pickup is designed to move with the soundboard, and no change to the guitar’s acoustic performance has been observed.
