Overview
Overview
Jialan Chen, a distinguished luthier since 2013, initially specialized in crafting Torres style guitars, before expanding his repertoire in 2018 with this Bouchet model. His profound understanding of music and guitar performance art is reflected in the high-level sound aesthetics of his creations. His career took a significant leap forward in 2014 when he met and learned from the renowned guitar makers Andrea Tacchi and Paolo Coriani in Italy, gaining invaluable insights and skills. This experience, coupled with his study and documentation of historical guitars in Europe, has profoundly enriched his craftsmanship. Renowned for their sophisticated materials, exceptional sound quality, and elegant design, Jialan’s guitars are highly esteemed worldwide, with notable musicians like Swedish guitarist Per-Olov Kindgren favouring his Bouchet model since 2018.
This guitar, crafted by Jialan, is a stunning tribute to the renowned guitar maker Robert Bouchet, capturing the essence and signature sound of the Bouchet tradition. Its back and sides are crafted from exquisite Indian Rosewood, perfectly complemented by a finely grained Spruce top. Paying tribute to the Master, Jialan includes colored ornaments on this instrument by the green inlay in the rosette, which forms a wonderful harmony with the honey-colored spruce top. Together with the Bouchet-inspired bracing, this combination produces a warm, rounded tone with exceptional projection. The trebles are smooth and rounded, delivering clear, articulate notes, while the overall volume is impressively powerful. Designed for the concert stage, this guitar excels in every aspect expected of a high-caliber instrument, making it a true treasure for both performers and collectors alike.

Classical Guitars
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
