Kazuo Sato - 2022 Prelude
Overview
Overview
Kazuo Sato, born in Tokyo in 1946, is an internationally acclaimed luthier who apprenticed with Kuniharu Nobe in Japan from 1965 to 1971. Thereafter, he went to the workshop of David Rubio in England, where he worked with another renowned guitar maker, Paul Fischer. In 1974, he established his own workshop in Germany, where he still resides and where he now works with his son Hideo Sato.
This Kazuo Sato Prelude has a fine top made of Alpine spruce. Back and sides are made of lovely Indian rosewood. The overall appearance is characterized by a refined elegance. The guitar is equipped with Alessi tuners and has been polished with a shellac finish. This 2022 model sounds well-rounded, nicely balanced and has a generous volume. The trebles have a clear and expressive character and are supported by creamy, carrying basses. On top, this guitar also has a very direct response, which makes it a very inspiring and versatile instrument.

Classical Guitar
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
