Overview

This 2012 classical guitar by Italian luthier Mirko Migliorini features a cedar soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides. Remarkably light and responsive, it offers considerable volume, exceptional sustain and excellent separation between individual notes. Its deep, powerful basses retain their strength under a firm attack, while the slightly brighter, singing first string gives melodic passages particular clarity. A comfortable playing feel and generous dynamic range complement an instrument that combines traditional construction with Migliorini's carefully developed approach to acoustic efficiency.

More details about the guitar

About the luthier

Italian luthier Mirko Migliorini completed his studies at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan in 2002, where workshops with internationally recognised makers helped shape his approach to guitar construction. His work has received several distinctions, including third prize at the International Guitar Making Competition in Baveno in 2001 and the Golden Guitar award at the twenty sixth International Guitar Conference in Milan. Migliorini approaches guitar making with a scientific curiosity, studying how small refinements in construction can improve acoustic efficiency, playing comfort and dynamic range. His instruments aim to combine considerable volume and projection with an effortless response, allowing the musician to explore their expressive possibilities without unnecessary physical effort.

About the guitar

This 2012 guitar by Mirko Migliorini combines a cedar soundboard with Indian rosewood back and sides in a remarkably light and responsive instrument. Its traditional construction, characteristic rosette and subtly elevated fingerboard reflect the maker's attention to both acoustic performance and playing comfort. The guitar has a particularly open and brilliant voice, with a clarity and separation that distinguish it from the somewhat softer, rounder character of Migliorini's more recent instruments.

The sound is powerful and beautifully sustained, allowing individual notes to linger while remaining clearly distinguishable within chords and complex passages. The first string has a particularly singing quality, with a touch of brightness that gives melodic lines additional presence. In contrast, the basses are deep, strong and remarkably effortless, responding generously to a firmer attack without appearing to reach their dynamic limit. This combination of powerful basses, articulate trebles and excellent sustain creates a broad, well defined sound in which every voice can be followed naturally.

Despite its considerable volume, the guitar feels light and easy to play. Its immediate response and wide dynamic range allow the player to move comfortably between delicate phrasing and more powerful passages, with the instrument retaining clarity and tonal definition throughout.

Condition

The guitar is in excellent condition, showing normal signs of wear consistent with careful use and storage.

Frequently Asked Questions About Classical Guitars

How do I choose the right classical guitar for my level?

Choosing the right classical guitar depends on your playing level, musical goals, and budget. Beginners benefit from studio-model guitars from renowned workshops, while advanced players and professionals often choose a handmade master guitar. We are happy to advise you personally and can send detailed sound samples and videos on request.

What is the difference between a master guitar and a studio guitar?

Master guitars are built entirely by hand in the workshop of a single luthier, using only high-quality, well-aged tonewoods. Studio guitars are made in small series, often under the supervision of the master luthier, and offer excellent value for students and ambitious amateur players.

Can I try a classical guitar at home for 14 days?

Yes — every guitar you purchase from us comes with a 14-day home approval period. This complimentary trial applies worldwide to all orders, whether you are in Germany, Europe, the USA, Asia or anywhere else. We ship your instrument fully insured in a high-quality case so you can play it under your own acoustic conditions. If the guitar is not the right one for you, simply send it back and receive a full refund of the purchase price.

Can I try a classical guitar before purchasing?

Absolutely. You are warmly invited to visit our showroom in Karlsruhe, Germany, and test the instruments at your leisure. We are happy to schedule a personal appointment. If a visit is not possible, we send detailed videos and sound samples, and offer extensive consultation by phone or video call.

What payment methods and financing options do you offer?

We accept bank transfer, PayPal, major credit cards, and Klarna. For high-value instruments, we offer individual installment plans on request. Please contact us directly — we will find a suitable solution for every budget.

How do I properly care for my classical guitar?

A classical guitar requires constant humidity between 45 and 55 percent. Store the instrument in its case with a humidifier, avoid direct sunlight and large temperature fluctuations. Change the strings regularly and clean the guitar with a soft microfiber cloth.
