Overview
Pete Beer is a distinguished guitar maker and educator based in Argyll, Scotland, who began his luthiery journey in 2001 at Clyde College, Glasgow, where he now imparts his expertise part-time. Crafting guitars from his workshop, Beer is dedicated to producing instruments that excel in musicality, offering a rich palette of tonal colors and dynamic expressions. His designs are notably influenced by Daniel Freiderich, incorporating unique features like doubled sides and a specific top thickness pattern for enhanced volume and projection. Beer's Concert model is renowned for its powerful sound and extensive headroom, characterized by a soundboard with asymmetric bracing and a continuous neck design that extends to the soundhole, ensuring robust support for the upper frets. Committed to playability, Beer equips his guitars with features like a double action titanium truss rod and offers customizable saddle heights, making his instruments not only sonorous but also exceptionally player-friendly.
We are thrilled to introduce Pete's guitar for the first time, an instrument that truly impresses with its exceptional qualities. This guitar blends traditional craftsmanship with modern enhancements, including double sides that contribute to its remarkable rigidity and exceptional projection. It boasts a vast dynamic headroom, allowing guitarists to explore the fullest range of dynamics. The first string maintains an even tone, while the trebles offer a warm, comfortable listening experience with just enough edge to carry sound throughout any concert hall. Additionally, this guitar is designed for ease of playability, making it an accessible instrument for performers of all levels. With these attributes, Pete’s guitar stands out as a superb choice for musicians looking for a versatile and powerful instrument.
