Vicente Carrillo belongs to a long line of guitar makers dating back to 1744 in Casasimarro, a town historically known as “El pueblo de las guitarras.” As a seventh-generation luthier, Carrillo maintains this tradition while embracing technical innovation. His workshop has earned multiple national awards and collaborates with leading artists and makers. His guitars are recognized for their tonal balance, structural refinement, and ability to project across a wide dynamic spectrum.
About the guitar
The Maestro N.X. model, developed in collaboration with Gernot Wagner, is a double-top guitar with a Nomex honeycomb core sandwiched between outer spruce layers. The back and sides are made from visually striking Madagascar rosewood. This model is designed to deliver high projection, tonal balance, and a wide dynamic range. With a 640 mm scale, the instrument offers a slightly reduced string length for increased comfort without sacrificing response. The French polish finish ensures acoustic transparency. Notably, the instrument is described as reducing finger noise and mechanical interference, favoring tonal purity.
