Description
Stephen Hill is an English luthier based in Granada, Spain. His inspiring career brought him from being a talented flamenco guitarist to building the finest Spanish guitars that can be found on the market nowadays. His inspiration came from both legendary luthiers and legendary guitarists with whom he built close relationships and friendships. Among other, one can name Antonio Marin Montero, Paco Pena, Manuel Reyes, etc. Stephen Hill builds fantastic traditional Spanish guitars. His passion for the guitar seems extremely strong and he passes is knowledge on to some talented students from whom we have also received skilfully built guitars.
This beautiful instrument numbered 237 is a great example of what the Spanish guitar at its best can sound like. The neck is perfectly shaped, so that the left-hand can move smoothly and relaxed. The volume of this guitar is quite impressive, and it sounds distinctly open for a new guitar. As most guitars from Granada, this guitar is very light in weight and reactive with a nice and clear sound-character. Furthermore this model is made without protected woods and is therefore CITES free.
